| The launch in July 2006 of the new Regional
Economic Strategy (2006 -2015) reflects the importance that is being
placed on the creative and digital industries cluster and its activities
with a predicted growth of 18-20% over the next 3-5 years. “We
expect the digital cluster – including associated creative
industries - to be pivotal in contributing to future growth of
the region.”
Yorkshire Forward is to consult during March with local creative
& digital businesses across the region, as to what future
initiatives or large scale projects might be developed to create
a business environment that will stimulate economic growth in
these sectors and ultimately the prosperity of the region. This
could be in the form of competitions, networks, infrastructure,
workspace, marketing, skills or business support.

We would like businesses to share their thoughts on how they
would like Yorkshire Forward to engage with them in the future.
This will contribute to the long-term strategic planning, as it
is likely that any future initiatives unless linked into current
projects, would not begin until 2008/9 or later.
Audiences Yorkshire is co-ordinating the bookings for all of
these events. Please call Viki Crummack on 0870 160 4400 if you
have any queries
